How has the class been going for you so far?

Prompt Response: So far this year, American Lit has gone very well, as has most of school. The work has been easy but not boring, and still thought provoking. It doesn't feel frustrating and I am genuinely interested in a lot of the content that we are reading. I enjoy the blog posts as they are easy grades and fun things to respond to

Summary: We read 3 poems from Emily Dickinson today in class and analyzed them.

Reflection: The poems were quite interesting and all generally were reflective and relating to death.

What challenges have you faced when working independently or in a group, and how did you handle them? Explain how those experiences will influence the way you approach this current research project.

  Prompt Response:  In the past, working on projects independently can lead to lack of motivation for me and make it harder to work on. But at the same time working on a project as a group can be problematic as not everyone is on the same track and may not be as willing to work together. I hope that during this project we will all be able to work on it on the same track and be efficient about it. Summary: We formed our group and talked about our projects Reflection: Being able to see the future of this project and how we are going to work on it gives me more ability to figure out how to approach it

Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

Prompt Response:  Very recently I had an encounter with this homeless guy at goodwill and I bought him some clothes. Seeing homeless people is something that is greatly upsetting to me because it makes me so upset seeing people in that condition and situation and I just hope for them to end up doing better at some point. Summary:  Started this story and the writeable Reflection:  The story was very interesting at that point.
