Which aspect of creating a poem do you enjoy the most?

Prompt Response: I enjoy the aspect of taking the main metaphor and having to extend it and find the inner and smaller metaphors within it to use. It is fun trying to extend them and use the different aspects of it and really understand what you are saying and what you are doing. It helps you think more deeply about things and fully realize your poem.

Summary: We went over literary devices and the expectations for the poem.

Reflection: Doing the poem made me think about the metaphors I could use and think about the literary devices and their usage within it.

  Prompt Response:  In the past, working on projects independently can lead to lack of motivation for me and make it harder to work on. But at the same time working on a project as a group can be problematic as not everyone is on the same track and may not be as willing to work together. I hope that during this project we will all be able to work on it on the same track and be efficient about it. Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

Prompt Response:  Very recently I had an encounter with this homeless guy at goodwill and I bought him some clothes. Seeing homeless people is something that is greatly upsetting to me because it makes me so upset seeing people in that condition and situation and I just hope for them to end up doing better at some point. Summary:  Started this story and the writeable Reflection:  The story was very interesting at that point.
