 Prompt Response: In the movie, Chris McCandless is presented in a very different way than the book. In the movie, he is more outgoing, reckless, and acts like a bit of a dope. This compares to the book where he is described as more reserved, charismatic, and thoughtful. Seeing the movie and connecting it the book reminded me of when I read some of Dune and saw the movies portrayal of it and how it in many ways clarified someone the world building.

Summary: We watched the movie in class and answered questions off it.

Reflection: The questions we answered made me think more deeply about the movie in contrast to the book.

Prompt Response:  Over winter break I did two things, hang out with family and do things with friends. For Christmas I was with my dad's parents in north Georgia and for New Years I was with my uncle's family in Mississippi. The first goal I am striving to achieve is getting my driver's license.  This goal is important to me as getting it will give me much more freedom and ability to more easily do things like get a job and get to places. To achieve it, I will need to meet certain parameters. Thankfully, I have already finished the sitting-down Driver's Ed portion, which makes it easier. I need to get more practice in though as a whole, which I will achieve by doing driving with my parents on the weekends.   Prompt Response:  Something that I can't stop thinking about as of late is basketball. I have always mildly enjoyed the sport and things about it but these past couple weeks it is something that I have been extremely interested in and invested in regarding the players and history and stats.
