Prompt Response: Chris McCandless's desire for independence was integral to his downfall as he tried to remain completely self reliant to the very end, despite many warnings and signs of what was to come. While his actual death was sudden, I am sure someone on the outside could've seen how things were going to work out, and his unwillingness to give up on it and find help ultimately was his end.

Reflection: Understanding his final days, and figuring out how he died was very illuminating to his entire story, and gave much clarity needed early on.

Prompt Response:  Over winter break I did two things, hang out with family and do things with friends. For Christmas I was with my dad's parents in north Georgia and for New Years I was with my uncle's family in Mississippi. The first goal I am striving to achieve is getting my driver's license.  This goal is important to me as getting it will give me much more freedom and ability to more easily do things like get a job and get to places. To achieve it, I will need to meet certain parameters. Thankfully, I have already finished the sitting-down Driver's Ed portion, which makes it easier. I need to get more practice in though as a whole, which I will achieve by doing driving with my parents on the weekends.   Prompt Response:  Something that I can't stop thinking about as of late is basketball. I have always mildly enjoyed the sport and things about it but these past couple weeks it is something that I have been extremely interested in and invested in regarding the players and history and stats.
